This gallery showcases the innovative jewellery pieces created by our Grade 10 Product Design students as part of their first major unit of the year. Each design represents a journey through the MYP Design criteria—from inquiring and analysing client needs, to developing ideas, creating prototypes, and evaluating final outcomes.

The diversity of work on display reflects our commitment to Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Students approached the project through multiple pathways: some explored traditional handcrafting techniques, others used digital modelling and 3D printing, while many combined materials and methods to express their unique design vision.

What unites these pieces is not just craftsmanship, but storytelling and empathy. Every design was created with a client or persona in mind, making the final products deeply personal and purposeful.

The exhibition is a celebration of:

  • Student agency – choosing their own design direction and client focus
  • Creativity and innovation – experimenting with materials, forms, and techniques
  • Reflective practice – evaluating how well their designs meet real or imagined needs

Together, these works highlight how design education empowers students to think critically, create meaningfully, and showcase their voices through tangible, beautiful outcomes.
